The IROAD FX2-PRO

Hyper Lapse

Enjoy peace of mind during long drives knowing you won’t miss a moment. Hyper Lapse efficiently compresses recorded video, maximising memory space to store four times more footage.

Additionally, in the event of an incident or impact, the recording frame rate adjusts to 30 fps, ensuring vivid images of crucial moments.

Buffered Impact and Motion Detection

The FX2-PRO employs advanced buffered recording technology to ensure comprehensive coverage. When motion or impact is detected in parking mode or while driving, the dash cam automatically initiates Event recording. This feature captures 10 seconds before and 20 seconds after the event, providing a complete picture of the situation. Event files are stored separately and accessible through both the PC Viewer and the IROAD Mobile App.

Manual Recording

Take control of your recordings effortlessly with the FX2-PRO’s Manual Recording function. Simply press the designated button to generate Event files on demand. Whether capturing a traffic incident or interesting moments on the road, this feature saves 10 seconds before and 20 seconds after the button press, ensuring nothing is missed.

Enhance Safety with Speed Camera Alerts

Stay ahead of potential speeding tickets and accidents with Speed Camera Alerts. By leveraging an active GPS connection and the latest Cyclops database, the dash cam alerts drivers to upcoming speed cameras and red-light cameras through voice prompts. This proactive approach enhances safety for all road users, including vehicles and pedestrians. Ensure you regularly update the Cyclops database for the latest information, with quarterly releases available for download.

Here’s the process

Download the file.
Unzip the file.
Copy and paste the extracted file (.dat) onto the FX2-PRO or FX2-PRO-1 SD Card.
Safely eject the SD Card from your computer.
Insert the SD Card into the dash camera and power it on as usual.

Parking mode with minimal power consumption

IROAD introduces a new Sleep Mode (Energy Saving) designed to significantly reduce power consumption during parking, ensuring extended video recording compared to the original parking mode. Once the vehicle is parked, the dash cam enters a “sleep” state. Upon detecting an impact, it awakens, records a 30-second video, saves it to the SD card, and then returns to “sleep” mode.

Time Lapse utilises a low-capacity recording technique, compressing and storing footage at 1fps while in Parking Mode, conserving storage space.

However, when an impact or motion is detected during parking, the FX2-PRO automatically switches to recording at 30fps, ensuring clear images of crucial moments.

ADAS

The IROAD FX2-PRO is equipped with the Road Safety Warning System, providing audio and visual alerts for Lane Departure (LDWS) and Front Vehicle Departure (FVDW). LDWS detects road markings and alerts drivers if the vehicle veers out of its lane, while FVDW notifies drivers when the vehicle in front begins to move after being stationary.

Additionally, the built-in GPS antenna tracks speed, time, and route history, alerting drivers to upcoming red light cameras and speed cameras.

LDWS operates in a way that the front camera recognizes the road lane in real time and, if the driver falls asleep while driving or drives poorly, causing the car to depart the lane, it will notify about it through the preset warning sound.

When the car is stopped at an intersection or in traffic, FVDW informs the driver when the vehicle in front has started to move, preventing delayed departure.
